Company

The robot diagnostics company behind Medkit

selfpatch builds an API-first diagnostics and OTA layer for robot fleets - an open-source core, commercial products on top, and an engineering team that deploys it with you.

SELFPATCH.AI sp. z o.o., founded 2026, based in Lublin, Poland.

Why we build it

Robot fleets run on tooling that automotive diagnostics outgrew years ago: SSH sessions, scattered scripts, and hours spent digging through logs. We started selfpatch to close that gap - bringing standards-based, API-first diagnostics (SOVD, ISO 17978-3) to every robot, whatever's under the hood.

Today a human stays in control: faults are caught and explained on the device, fixes are ranked and proposed, and your operator approves every change. As fixes prove themselves, more of them can run without waiting for a click - that is the path to self-healing fleets.

How we work

We are a product company that also runs a small, focused services arm: the same engineers who build Medkit help you deploy, integrate, and extend it, and what we learn in the field goes back into the product.

Open core

The Medkit gateway is Apache 2.0 and developed in the open. The core is free and stays free.

Commercial products

Medkit Pro and the Diagnostics Box extend the same diagnostic API - more protocols, secure OTA, one fleet view, and guided triage.

Services, deliberately narrow

Integration, custom development, and consulting - only for ROS 2 production, diagnostics, and OTA. We do not do generic robotics consulting.

Founders

Built by engineers who spent the past decade on automotive-grade diagnostics and software-defined vehicles.
